I had a question about the height of the turntable, and the seller responded within a day. And now measuring them I find they are just under 10/16ths (~0.6) inch thick for the wood part, and the whole turntable rises to 15/16ths or just under one inch, this makes them a bit "shorter" than a close competitor, so I went with these, to better fit my 3-shelf cabinet (shorter IS better!). They have a 5/16th inch rim (could be narrower, but no one else had a thinner edge), and are 10 inches wide overall. They're nice looking, turn smoothly, and the spinning base is wide enough (6 13/16ths") that I see no potential of tipping, they feel very solid. If I could change one thing, it would be to have a bit less shine to the wood coating, why have any at all vs. bare wood, but perhaps that adds some protection to the wood, given they are in a potentially steamy, oily environment next to my cooktop, I can always run some 2000 grit sandpaper on them if I want. As the pictures show, there can be variations in color from blonde to brown due to the use of multiple acacia strips in assembly, but I didn't like the appearance of some other solid piece turntables, and they were not as thin, my highest priority. I am very happy with the purchase.EDIT (20231031): I added a picture of the underneath of the turntable. I notice how smoothly it turns compared to the plastic one my wife has.
